President Elect The President Elect spends the year learning about the organization and role as president. They are responsible for performing the duties of President in the President's absence as well as planning the annual Installation and Awards Banquet. This 1 year term is followed immediately by 1 year as President and then 1 year as Past President for a total of 3 years. Director for Public Relations and Information Technology The Director for Public Relations and Information Technology is responsible for promoting the Society through media and our website. They are in charge of website maintenance and sending communications to members. They chair the Public Relations, Communications, and IT Committee. Director of Membership The Director of Membership is responsible for attracting and maintaining members of RISHP, including coordinating institutional memberships and evaluating member needs. They chair the Membership Committee. | Treasurer The Treasurer manages the finances of RISHP, administers fiscal matters, and provides an annual budget for Board approval. They serve as the chair for the Finance Committee which meets at least quarterly. The term length for the position of Treasurer is 2 years, so the person serving in this role will be on the Board through 2028. Board Member at Large The primary responsibility of the Board Member at Large is to recruit and coordinate industry sponsors for the annual Future of Pharmacy Showcase every fall. Additionally, they are an added voice on the Board and may be called to help with miscellaneous items as needed. Technician Representative The Technician Representative offers representation to pharmacy technicians to ensure RISHP is aware of and prioritizing technician-specific initiatives. In conjunction with the Director for Program Development, they coordinate technician-focused continuing education. They serve as a member of the Membership Committee. |
