At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1.Understand what constitutes a legal control prescription and be able to identify potential pitfalls in filling controlled substance prescriptions.
2.Understand the purpose of the Prescription Monitoring Program, how it can be used effectively in a retail setting, and its limitations.
3.Understand the role of retail pharmacy in the prevention of drug diversion.
