Future of Pharmacy Showcase Learning Objectives (Pharmacists): Upon completion of this activity, pharmacists should be able to:

  1. Summarize the role of a pharmacist in a newly established outpatient inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) clinic
  2. Describe the importance of empathy in healthcare providers
  3. Identify treatment resistant depression (TRD) and its characteristics
  4. Summarize drug information regarding the use esketamine nasal spray for the treatment of treatment resistant depression (TRD)
  5. Explain the rationale for implementation of a clinic to dispense esketamine nasal spray
  6. Assess possible barriers to implementing a clinic to dispense esketamine nasal spray
  7. Identify and explain key issues in managing cabinet inventory
  8. Explain how to utilize business intelligence tools to measure and improve inventory management
  9. Describe PAR levels for standard stock medications to support a 7 day supply
  10. Identify outcomes that demonstrate impact of optimization work
