4. Summarize key provisions of the 2022 Rhode Island Cannabis Act relevant to pharmacists.

6. Summarize the legislative efforts supported by the Rhode Island Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

At the completion of this activity, the pharmacy technicians will be able to:

1. Identify the available advanced pharmacy technician certifications/programs

2. Define the role of the advanced pharmacy technician training/certification within the hospital and healthcare system setting

3. Recall the process for obtaining advanced certification

4. Explain the qualifications for maintaining certification (i.e. continuing education)

5. Describe leadership values used in the workplace

6. List examples of employee recognition in the workplace

7. Outline future strategic initiatives for the pharmacist and the pharmacy enterprise growth in closing health care disparity gaps

8. Describe how to establish an innovative, subsidized, workforce pipeline to solve recruitment challenges

9. Explain how a subsidized workforce pipeline can enhance team engagement, increase retention, and broaden the diversity of the team.

11. Summarize the legislative efforts supported by the Rhode Island Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
