Learning Objectives Pharmacists :

1.      Identify goals for a state or regional antimicrobial stewardship coalition or group.

2.      Describe at least 2 initiatives that members of a regional antimicrobial stewardship effort in RI have benefited from.

3.      Discuss how a regional antimicrobial stewardship effort could measure progress.

Hour Two: Fighting “Superbugs”:

A focus on the treatment of ESBL’s and CREs

Learning Objectives Pharmacists :

1..      Identify the spectrum of resistance of ESBL- and CREs- producing organisms.

2.      Restate  treatment options for ESBLs and CREs infections.

3.      Describe the differences between polymyxin B, polymyxin E (colistin), and CMS.

 

Though all are invited to attend, only Pharmacist CE

credit will be available for this topic.
