Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this learning activity, pharmacist and pharmacy technician participants will be able to:

  • Describe the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) policy making process.
  • Identify the roles and responsibilities of the ASHP House of Delegates.
  • List two policies being voted on at the 2017 ASHP Summer Meeting.
  • Describe the consequences of antimicrobial resistance on patient safety.
  • List several different outcomes and the process metrics in Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (AMS).
  • Explain the Joint Commission Standards for AMS starting January 2017. 
  
 
  The University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
